New WhatsApp Template Rules from Meta – What You Need to Know
We hope this message finds you well.
We’d like to inform you about an important update from Meta!
Meta has rolled out two major updates to improve how messages are delivered and experienced on the platform. These changes apply to all Marketing and Utility Templates.
Here’s the lowdown 👇
🔧 New Meta Rules:
Template Body Character Limit:
Messages with more than 550 characters in the body will be rejected.Emoji Limit:
Templates with more than 10 emojis in the body will also be rejected.
(Yep, time to say goodbye to emoji marathons 🫠)
What this means for you:
🎯 If your WABA is affected, and your template doesn't follow the new rules, SkaleBot will show an error:
“The Body (or Content) field can't have more than 550 characters.”
🎯 Already-approved templates? No worries. They’ll continue to work, even if they go over these new limits.
We’re fully aligned with Meta’s direction here. These changes aim to boost message performance and make the experience smoother for your customers.
